Seaside Sanatorium

It's a very calm beach state park, great for sunny day picnics, or relaxing sun bathing!! The charm is not heavy people traffic!! No erie atmosphere, just good 3 or 4 sectioned beach area. One can watch the boats pass by!

I don’t know how busy it gets in the summer months but I went today in January 2025 and it was so peaceful and empty. The beaches are gorgeous and the buildings are both haunting and beautiful at the same time. The architecture is absolutely gorgeous. It’s the perfect place to take a walk or have a picnic.

Whether you're looking for some historical history or just looking to dip your feet in the water, this is really a hidden Gem. I ended up spending a couple of hours enjoying the views, taking pictures, and was able to take a nice walk and take some pictures. It's a short walk from the parking lot down to the shore. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Free beach area. Off beach parking is also free to public. Beautiful beach area and not busy when we visited a rarity on a summer weekend. It is a distance from parking area to beach; So be prepared

This place is haunted for real. I took pictures of a house close to the beach, it was not the sanatorium or the nurses, it was a house that belong to the head of the sanatorium (I think). I took 2 shots, same angle and a ghost appeared at the window (I'm not posting those pics in here). Did some videos too, a child screaming appeared, a car honk, a moan and a sentence saying "hold your breath" (I'm not posting those videos here). Besides this, it's a lovely beach and the space is "calm" .
