Searcy Public Library

The new library is so beautiful! They have a good range of activities for the community , some great online resources, and great on-site resources. The staff is always friendly and many of them will recognize you by name if you go enough. They don't have the biggest selection of books on hand, BUT you can always request an interlibrary loan. They will even order books to add to their catalog if it's been published within the past 4 months or so (don't quote me on the exact time frame, though). My son enjoys hanging out in the teen room, especially when they have game nights. It's really cool that they have that safe space for teens to hang out.

I love my local library! They have so many cool things there, like the computer lab and the teen room that has a recording room in it (for teen use only, sadly, trust me I already asked if I could use it for content creation and they said it's not meant for adults). They are also very friendly and their website has a bunchhhh of resources. I'm pretty sure they also have an immigration officer of some kind who helps with passports? But I'm not sure, I've never had to use it, I've just seen the office door

It really is a beautiful facility, however it is also the loudest library I have ever been to. Make sure you bring noise cancelling headphones or earbuds. There is a complete disregard for others visiting this library. The noise comes from a few different demographics, either women walking upstairs talking at full volume, mostly unsupervised children, or individuals talking on their phone set to speaker. 100% of the time I have come to this library there is a conversation being had in the reading area at full volume, and I am NOT exaggerating, and there is absolutely no one enforcing this either. If the noise was kept in check better then this place would be a 4 or 5 star library easily. Some positives are a large and beautiful reading area, several private meeting rooms, gorgeous computer

Lots of books and a great place to hang out!! There is dnd happening every Friday and tons of other activities that the library offers. They have an awesome young adult section and tons of books for little ones.

Thank you to the Crain family for donating a lot of the money needed to upgrade the Searcy library into the future. The computer lab is truly impressive. Lots of activities and programs to keep the calendar full. Everyone should utilize this great public asset.
