Great overall experience! From when I walked in to when I walked out it was great! They were very welcoming and friendly. I got the Man Eater which was a ton of food. Massive biscuit covered in sausage gravy, 2 slices of bacon, 2 patties of sausage, a little slab of ham, 2 eggs with shredded cheese, and a pancake. Everything was great from the taste, smell, and looks. My waitress was Megan and she was very friendly and helpful. Also, even when I walked in a lady in the back also spoke through the window welcoming me in. It’s a great place, a nice perfect small town feel that will feed a massive appetite. My total with a cup of coffee and my meal was $23. For the amount of food and the atmosphere, I think it was well worth it. I will be back!

*2nd time visitors today. It was busy. Please give this place a chance to work out the kinks. Food is really good (best breakfast we've found in BC) & so worth the wait. All employees were busting it trying to get to everyone in a timely manner. I think it's a case of putting aces in their places as it seemed a bit chaotic when employees didn't know where to be at what time. Just have patience, they'll work it out. When you go, put your phones away & talk to each other or other tables. The time means nothing when you are having good conversations. *We were happy to find a new breakfast place. 1st time customers. Loved that they support 1st responders. We will for sure go back. Give this place a try if you haven't yet. Good food, coffee & service.. what more can you ask for?

I travel, a lot, and love trying "local" spots. If you are looking for good southern food, Scratch does not disappoint. The biscuits & gravy was delicious. The service was excellent. A young guy serving us and doing his best to ensure we got everything we needed. Not classy; but if you want real southern food, that's how it should be. Next time I'm in the area, I"ll totally be here to try lunch.

Had the Best Burger I have ever had.Me and My friend was taking a road trip and we always try a find home cooking. This place is awesome, 💯 An hour and half drive will do it again just to eat here.

For the Thanksgiving meal, "smoked turkey and ham" was advertised. We thought we were paying for a whole turkey and ham, but it was only for a ham and smoked turkey breast. The rolls were from Sam's Club with some butter and herbs. The pies were straight from Sam's as well, still had the stickers on them. The gravy was alright, but it only came with about a pint for 8-10 people. I ordered some extra and I swear it tasted like gumbo but was made "fresh" since they were out before I ordered. Overall, it was not worth the price we paid. Especially since the only part that seemed cooked from scratch was the turkey.
