Schuan Kitchen 山川小馆

I absolutely LOVE Sichuan cuisine and was looking forward to the day one opened here on SI. This is the real deal. Incredible flavor and presentation, spicy but not excessively so. Just a nice warm heat. The Dan Dan noodles were 🤤.

This is possibly SI’s first real Sichuan. I’m Not aware of another at least. We regularly eat in Sunset Park Chinatown and Edison but we’ll be going less now that we found this gem. Only two months old. The beef soup was good, albeit a bit too much mala for us for a soup. However the Dan Dan noodles and string beans were perfection.

The food is incredible! I’ve been craving Sichuan food so much and this place hits the spot🎉. Highly recommend the pork belly in chili oil!! The staff were extremely friendly as well. Will be making more trips in the future to try more of their food! ❤️

Delicious sichuan dishes with reasonable portion sizes. Food came out quick and environment is very homey. So glad to have this place on the island, can’t wait to try everything!

Excellent small business that has authentic Szechuan Chinese food. Focused menu that has meat and vegan choices. Hit and sour won ton soup was superb. Automated ordering and paying at a kiosk with levels of hot spicy you want you food. This place is the best Sichuan food on the island.
