Schnucks Chesterfield

Horrible customer service at the deli. I went in hoping to get a rotisserie chicken. I noticed a sign saying they were low in stock so wanted to inquire if any were left and buy one if possible. There was a man and woman working. I waited over 20 minutes. Both saw me waiting (patiently right in front of glass by chicken area and right in front of register. Not on phone. Looking at them both and clearly waiting). Both refused to help. There was no line just me, still nothing. Another lady came up and he helped her within minutes still didn't help me. I had my number yet neither would call it. Another customer came by saw me waiting and mentioned I could self serve on the chicken area. I was getting very hungry so I went ahead and got 2 chicken pieces and spoonful of green beans and mashed p

Generally we really like this store, but check the expiration and best by dates on shelf stable items. Multiple times we've picked up or ordered something from this location only to realize it's already expired. We've had this happen with fruit cups, applesauce pouches, and stir fry sauce just to name a few items.

Rude employee who brought out my order for Instacart. I spend more than the average as a family of 6 at Schnucks. Today the male who brought out my order didn't even say nothing when I greeted and waited for confirmed name. Instead pushed cart against my bumper and began THROWING my items in my trunk! Water jugs on top of my fruit and veggies. No care just threw the last in while I attempted to grab as many bags as possible to stop the madness. I won't be returning to this location until the management can fix their employees attitudes.

Five stars! I had such an awkward moment here today and I’m still cringing a bit, but I had to leave a review. I accidentally dropped a carton of eggs (total mess!) and honestly, I panicked. I looked around and there was no crew member nearby. I went to the self-checkout to tell the staff, but I was so flustered that I completely forgot to even say "sorry." My brain just froze! I felt so bad afterwards, but the lady working at the self-checkout was an absolute gem. She was so calm and just said, “No worries, I’ll take care of it.” No attitude, no eye-rolling—just pure kindness. Five stars — not just for the store, but for the people who work here.

I had such an amazing experience thanks to Emily. I went in to buy groceries and somehow made it all the way home without realizing I had left my wallet behind. What really impressed me was the effort Emily put in to get it back to me. My wallet didn’t even have my phone number in it, but instead of giving up, Emily went the extra mile and contacted head office to see if I had a Schnucks membership on file. Because of that, she was able to get my number and call me, leaving a voicemail to let me know she had my wallet and that I could come pick it up. I was so relieved and grateful when I got that call. Emily’s honesty, initiative, and kindness truly stood out. Customer service like this is rare, and she absolutely deserves recognition. Thank you, Emily, for turning a stressful situation i
