Schmackary's

Schmackary’s has been a NYC cookie institution for ages, and I’m so excited that it’s come to Long Island! The shop is adorably decorated, colorful, and bright, drawing you in to the enormous cookie display. The staff were all incredibly friendly, giving their recommendations and just chatting up and making us feel welcomed. The cookies and treats are all really delicious. They’re a good balance of crispy outside with a softer chewy middle. They’re not too sweet, have a nice salt level to balance things out, and come in a great variety of flavors. My favorites were the Turtle and Peanut Butter Cup cookies, and you can’t go wrong with the classic chocolate chip.

Visit Date: September 9, 2025 I was lucky enough to snag an invite to the Yelp Elite Event for Schmackary's. This cookie company has been in Manhattan but Albertson is their first Long Island location. I took my son with me, you would think a 9 year old would be all about free cookies but he just wanted to stay outside on the bench and play with his cell phone. When I got in I got a free pass for my son and I to get a complimentary cookie and there were so many cookies laid out to sample as well as some samples of lattes they had. I do not know what kind of latte samples I drank, I just drank two like I was downing alcoholic shots and knew I liked them. Holy diabetic coma, Batman! These people did us right. We came in from out of state and just had to have their cookie cake, but they didn’t have it! Ugh… they gave us cookies to hold us over till they could make the cake the next day. The cookies were soo good. They were interesting flavors, and they all worked. It was a good mix of flavors and none were overwhelming. Not too soft, not hard & crispy. Now to the star… I think it was a confetti cookie that was perfectly drowning in the frosting. Not gonna lie, it’s sweet, but that’s what I’m going for in a dessert. I think we are picking another one up before heading back home.

Schmackary’s on Long Island is amazing! The cookies were delicious and a great combination of soft and crispy. They have For Five coffee and all of their drinks taste amazing! Definitely check them out!!

The “stepped up” coffee options were killer, and the pastries very good. The cookies, as always, are awesome. The service was amazing and the drinks visually appealing as well as tasteful :)
