This place is a real treat! From the moment you enter, if you're a native Philadelphian, the decor invites you in as if this place was curated in the 70s...at the same time you're visiting your Italian relatives. Mark and Colleen served us and they could not have been more personable and professional. I wanted them to join us for dinner. A good friend and my wife took me out for my birthday, and the meal was top-notch. The menu has everything you need for a perfect Italian meal. The calamari is light and while fried, is just perfect. We also had the Caprese Salad, Bruchetta, and Mista, all of which were delicious. A bit later, we were joined by my friend's husband and daughter, who helped us with the Pumpkin Ravioli, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Branzini...all delicious!! If you're a

Scannichio’s is on Broad street deep in the heart of South Philadelphia. It is a BYOB and more importantly it is cash only. It is a little more elegant than the average red gravy Italian restaurant. This is reflected by some of the more unusual items on the menu. They excelled with the traditional items that we tried. The chicken parm and the mussels red were both excellent and the portions were large. Unfortunately the less traditional items proved disappointing. The Spicy Sicilian Calimari looked amazing on their Facebook page. It showed a few hot pepper slices and olives over a heaping plate of Calimari. Unfortunately we got a portion that was 80% peppers over a small amount of Calimari. The Calimari was lightly breaded and was very good except for being soggy due to the mass

I had my rehearsal dinner here the night before my wedding and it was everything I dreamed of and more! The team were so easy going with everything, treated us like family the second we all walked in. The food is incredibleee here and such an amazing fixed menu for large parties with plenty of options. They even provided the best cannolis I’ve ever had on complete last minute notice for a party of 40. It’s the perfect cozy restaurant for an intimate dinner and highly suggest to host an event, and byob too! So grateful for the team here and would recommend them to everyone.

One of the best Italian spots in the city. They don’t skimp out on anything. The crab pasta was loaded and more traditional dishes were massive. Great service and it’s BYOB. Worth adding to your list.

I have been there often with my husband and I absolutely love the food. I'm still working on getting Through the menu to attempt to try everything on the menu. The service is great and I get a special salad made. This is an absolute must go to.
