SaYum Jamaican Food

Great place to eat and very delicious! Went here over the weekend and was short 2.50 due to my phone dying. And the lady where very understanding and insted of turing me away they paid it for me. Along with great good and excellent customer service they are really here for our community. Try the jerk chicken!

I ran in from Amtrak across the street to get a beef patty and it turned into an awesome experience. First, the young lady gave above excellent service. She was so polite, courteous and sweet. The Oxtail soup was delicious! The bread is out of this world and my daughter had curried chicken meal. She said it was delicious. So glad I have to go back to Wilson on Wednesday to pick up my car. I get another chance to eat there again!!

This was my first time eating here and it won’t be the last. I ordered the king fish, rice and peas, cabbage, and plantain. This meal was full of flavor. The fish was cooked to order and it was nice and flaky. The carrot cake was melt in your mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The goat curry was sooooo good!!! It was definitely the best goat curry and the best goat anything I've ever had! It also comes close to being the best curry I've ever had. It was very fall-off-the-bone tender and very flavorful. I liked it so much that I ordered some to go for my kids to try. My husband liked the Jerk Chicken. I wanted the Jerk Wings, but they were out of their first batch (we arrived after 2pm), and the second batch wasn't ready for another 3 hours or so. The server was warm and kind. The restrooms were clean. What more could you ask for? Wish we lived nearby, but we were just passing through. I just had a craving for Jamaican food and Googled Jamaican restaurants along the way, and boy, am I glad I picked SaYum!

Place was killer. Big portions. Would absolutely come back. Jerk chicken is incredible. Pork is good too, but has bones, so you have to be careful to eat around them. I’d rather pull the chicken. Rice is great, full of flavor. Cabbage is ok, would try a different side next time. The beef pastry thingies are great too. They serve ice cream too.
