Sawmill BBQ Pub & Grill

Sawmill BBQ is located very close to our house, yet we’ve never tried it. Well, we just did the other evening, and LOVED it. Everything was bursting with flavor and the meat was beyond tender. Even the Cheeseburger was above average! All of the sides were devoured in minutes (green beans, fries, creamy coleslaw, garlic bread). Safe to say, we’d totally pick up from Sawmill again - or dine in (they have a large dining room, with live music sometimes I’ve heard!)

Bartender Shana was great. Fun atmosphere including pictures/signs of defunct Saint Louis breweries such as Lemp and Greisedieck. Got the 2-meat combo entree with briscuit, ribs, fried pickles, onion rings, and bread. Fried pickles are a side dish so we didn't have to get an entire appetizer. We couldn't decide which bbq sauce to get so Shana brought us all 4 (did the same for another couple, seems like a thing). The ribs were very good, but the briscuit was dry. Plenty of draft beer choices. Overall a very good experience.

I had the Hot Italian sandwich which was excellent. Wife had the Cuban Sandwich which had her raving. My side was baked beans, which had meat in them. They were as good as I have ever had. Will go again. Update: Ordered the half rack of ribs. They were cooked perfectly, but amazingly bland. Ribs shouldn't need sauce, but these do. They seem to have been oven baked with only a little salt, nothing else. Disappointing, but we will still go back, I just will not get the ribs.

Some of the best BBQ in St. Louis. My husband raves about the spicy steak and I love their turkey. Recently, I’ve gone lighter and got the salad. All delicious! Come for the music and stay for the food! This place gets rocking!

First time here. Really good food and great service by Jennifer. We had the cod platter and american burger. Good portions and a great selection of sides. The dill pickle spears had a nice coating with dipping sauce and the okra was fresh and tender. The band was setting up but we didnt stay. Looks like they have regular live music. We will come back again!
