Sawan Indian Cuisine by Foodie Adda

We recently visited Sawan for lunch now under new management and with a new menu. Although they had a lunch buffet available with both veg and meat dishes, we opted to try their dosas. Having had the original I was curious to see how good their Rameshwaram dosa was and we also tried the Karivapaku Karam dosa which we had never had before. The very friendly waiter said it was coated with a curry leaf spice mix and it was good. The Rameshwaram while not quite as good as the original (not sure if anyone can replicate that) was quite good, slightly thicker, very crispy on the outside and nearly fluffy on the inside. Visited recently, and I’m really glad I tried this place. If you enjoy Indian food, especially South Indian dishes, this spot is definitely worth visiting. The biryani was the highlight for me — flavorful, great spice balance, and perfectly cooked. The dosas and idly were fresh and soft, and tasted just like something you’d get at a good local spot in India. Overall, it’s a solid place for anyone looking for tasty, authentic Indian food without spending too much. I’ll definitely be going back!
