Customer Reviews
Venturing out to Sturbridge? Stop in to Saw Dust Coffee House. This café offers delightful lunch and dessert options while its decor brings to mind Central Perk on the set of Friends. On a recent visit, my friends had BLT and turkey-prosciutto sandwiches, both on sourdough. I selected a meatball and provolone panini on a wrap. Each came with a choice of macaroni salad or pickles. The panini was a bit heavy on the oregano, but otherwise warm and delicious. Later, we enjoyed cappuccino and baked goods--a s'more brownie with graham cracker crust and a chocolate chip cookie. We brought home chocolate-peanut butter and raspberry-crumble bars as well as a lemon poppyseed muffin. I look forward to returning!
Awesome local coffee shop and bar! We arrived early on a Sunday morning and enjoyed breakfast and reading a few pages of our books. We placed our order at the counter and sat in a nice booth. Drinks were ready quickly at the counter. Food came out 5 minutes later, very efficient. The wildberry hibiscus refresher with green tea was delicious. Not sweet, excellent flavor. The berry toast was unlike anything I’ve ever had - so darn good! A thick piece of cinnamon toast with a bit of cream cheese, cinnamon sugar and fresh berries drizzled with honey. The dessert açaí bow was beautiful and filling, no notes. The bakery cases were full of other delights from scones and quiches to muffins and brookies! Service was fine at best, everyone felt a bit standoffish and not super welcoming bu
Nice place! Loved the atmosphere and the food! However, service was just passable. Nobody was friendly, almost annoyed they were helping people. I had an açaí bowl which was scrumptious, and the berry toast was amazing! I wanted to love this place but after visiting, I don’t know if I’ll return, which is a bummer!
Great find! Awesome idea to have desserts and a bar. The place is very busy and friendly. Drinks were great and the desserts were very tasty. Live music made the atmosphere fun. Prices are good too!
We went in to get some drinks after lunch and it’s a quite cozy area because it gives Café/brewery vibes. I got their golden espresso martini, which is gluten-free and dairy free and it tasted like an actual espresso martini.. We also got a few desserts. I got pistachio and a honey lavender cheesecake. The pistachio was perfect. No need to add any more comments on that but the lavender cheesecake is interesting like perfume if you’re interested that flower flavor. Not my favorite, but interesting concept. The staff was great. They all worked pretty diligently. You can also sit here and do some work by the tables and chill and they also provide coffee.
