Satterfield's Restaurant

The staff was nice. Good atmosphere. The appetizers were delicious and hearty. We ordered a cheese plate and crab claws. The main events were so bland. From the fish to the lamb chops. The portions were small, with the exception of the pork chop! That thing was HUGE!. They charge $3 per slice if you bring your own cake and ask them to serve it :(. Overall, pretty disappointing considering all the rave reviews of this place. We won't be going back.

My wife has wanted to try Satterfields for years. Last night my daughter and I took my wife there for her birthday. The inside was very nice, the hostess sat us right away at a nice table. That was the highlight of the evening. The service was ok. There were longer gaps between ordering and the delivery of our various courses than I expected for a “fine dining” restaurant. Regarding the food. Our salads were good, however the choices weren’t a plenty. When we finally got our food, our daughter’s chicken was excellent while my wife’s filet was tough. My redfish (once I found it on my plate) was fair but luke warm. Our deserts were good. After we left, my wife and I decided this was our first and last time to this restaurant. I really hate leaving a poor review, but my husband and I were so disappointed after looking forward to trying this place. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the staff was welcoming even though my online reservation didn’t come through right away. My husband had the redfish and I ordered the filet mignon — both were just okay, not great for the price. Lacked seasoning and flavor. Raw oysters were excellent meanwhile Caesar salad had an overwhelming fishy taste. I requested broccoli but got asparagus instead, which wasn’t a big deal. The real issue was the potato galette — completely undercooked. When I mentioned it, our server kept saying, “That’s how they’re supposed to be,” which felt dismissive. This was my first visit, and the atmosphere was incredibly pleasant. I highly recommend making a reservation—we were lucky there was an available table with no wait. Every dish we tried was delicious, though the portions were a bit on the smaller side. Our server, Danielle, was kind, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. This is definitely a great spot for a date night, and I would absolutely recommend it :)
