Santucci's Original Square Pizza

I grew up in Philadelphia near Santucci’s and always loved their pizza, so I was excited to order from the Ventnor location after a long 10-hour workday. I placed my order online and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. At 6:17 PM I received a text saying they were just starting it. I arrived and waited at the bar area until 7:00 PM for the pizza to come out. When I got home and opened the box, the pizza was extremely overcooked and had a rubbery texture. It was honestly very disappointing. I’ve always associated Santucci’s with quality, which makes this experience even more frustrating. I’m not sure what happened, but this was not the standard I grew up with. I hope the Ventnor location takes more care with timing and quality in the future.

The worst Sicilian I have ever had really. Maybe it was a bad day. Saturday at 2pm? The sauce was like painted on and the crust was very crunchy. Which I like but this wasn’t it. Really bad slice. I am a pizza fanatic. I drive to Spumoni Garden in Brooklyn to get a fix. Luckily I live close to DeLorenzos and Papa’s in Robbinsville

We’ll do this review in steps: 1.) My friend and I arrived at the upstairs patio around 4:30pm. We asked to be seated inside downstairs, because it was about to start raining. We were told inside was closed, so we were sat at the bar on the upstairs patio (because the manager “didn’t want the servers having to go up and down the stairs”). 2.) We waited about 10 minutes to get menus and for our order to be taken. At this point, it is raining and we are getting soaked. We then asked if we could, once again, sit inside. We were told to move downstairs and sit wherever inside. 3.) Once inside, we did not have a server and had to ask a different person for help each time to get menu’s, silverware, and eventually place our order, despite the masses of wait staff standing around, rolling silverwa

Great place for the family and the food is outstanding! Fyi well done margherita is the way to go! Not a mask to be found is the only issue tho...if they had enforced local ordinances it would for sure have been 5 stars but when the town the restaurant is in has the city hall close down for covid cases you would think they might pay a little more attention to this is all.

Cannot go wrong here. The upstairs deck is the place to be on a breezy summer evening with mucus maid and friends. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. I crave the pizzas here every time we are down the shore.
