If you're looking for exceptional Italian catering, the best deli sandwiches around, and a true family-owned business, Santoro's Bakery is the place. The staff is excellent, especially Carla and Matthew! Santoro's has deep roots in Roslindale Square, originally founded by Vincenzo and Agostina Santoro and beloved for decades for their Sicilian pizza, fresh-baked scali bread, and classic Italian pastries. Today, their daughter Tina Santoro Asmar carries that legacy forward with pride--and has taken it to another level. The care, tradition, and family ownership are felt the moment you walk in. The sandwiches are simply unmatched. Hands down, the best Italian deli sandwiches I've ever had--better than anything I've eaten in Philadelphia, New York City, or Boston (all places I've lived). Ev
Delicious sandwich shop! Got the Italian sub and the meatball sub, the potato pizza which is served on Saturday’s and they have a limited time BROWN BUTTER DUBAI CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE!!!!! Needless to say, if you haven’t been here what are you even doing? Highly recommend!
Staff was friendly. No issues there. I really want to give more stars but I had a couple of details that prevented it. First off they really should do more with the inside. It’s a simple hole in the wall place that could be so cool. A wall of Italian groceries? Couple of tables. Second the price for EVERY sandwich is 11 something. Kinda pricey for most. Although they do have warm bread for the rolls. But they are baguettes so they are a bit small for a sub. And lastly I ordered a sandwich that had roasted peppers listed. I saw the guy get a can of peppers from the shelf but somehow they never made it to my sandwich. It’s not like I added them. They were part of the ingredients and I didn’t get them. So I went with a 3. Could have been lower but in fairness the taste wasn’t too bad.
They didn't tell me that they were out of some ingredients before receiving the payment. Once I paid, he told me that they missed some ingredients. The sandwich that I ended up getting was just an Italian sub, which was cheaper than what I ordered. No refund for the differences. The taste was alright. (+It's wild that even a take-out deli store also asking for a tip.)
Love the sandwich. Tge grayson is delicious. we have tried several others and all have been fresh. The desserts are yummy!!
