Santa Monica Public Library

The library is quite big and new, with a beautiful outdoor area on the ground floor. There are in total two floors with a lot of books. The kids and teens section are connected and is nicely decorated, it is big and clean too. However, I was there on Wednesday morning and noon, and it was a bit noisy in theteen section. The trees and plants outside are pretty and well maintained but table in the outdoor area is a bit dirty.

Nice library in downtown of Santa Monica. They have a pretty good book collection. It wasn’t overcrowded at 11am. There are plenty of tables inside and several private study rooms but you need to reserve it in advance and have a library membership. The only downside is that it didn’t smell great inside. There is also a beautiful outdoor area which I liked. It was pretty quiet and clean.

This library offers a welcoming and peaceful space perfect for reading, studying, or using public computers. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with finding books or answering questions. I love the variety of books, magazines, and multimedia materials available, as well as the quiet corners that make it easy to focus. There are also regular community programs and workshops that keep things interesting and engaging for all ages.

The bookstore accepts cash or check only. I was a little frustrated, but was able to find an ATM just across the street. They have a great selection of fiction and nonfiction books, and their prices are amazing. They also have signed copies, so if you're a collector, it's worth checking out I'll definitely visit again.

I just needed to print a couple of papers for a meeting with Social Security today. Last night I checked the library out and was happy to see that they offered (as my photo shows) FREE PARKING WITH A HANDICAP PLACARD - YAY, right? NOPE. Lady at gate said No, I argued and told her it was on the web that it's free. Argued with the lady on the squack box - nope. Came out of the library, to the gate told $1 - nope not going to pay it, showed her the screenshots I took where it said FREE. Nope $1. Made me back up as well as 3 other cars behind me to go to the other gate. Argued with the squack box again "My Supervisor said it's $1" and hung up on me. Would t answer when I tried to call her a 2nd time to show the supervisor the screenshot. So, owning a Jeep, I drove up on the curb, stopped long
