Best breakfast sandwiches ever. Getting a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a long seeded roll with cilantro garlic aioli? Incredible. The baked goods are also awesome — fresh baked treats like coffee cake and brownies and cookies with new options every day. Always fun to see what they have. Lunch sandwiches are great too — favorites were the Francisville, cold Italian, and hot Italian melt. Friendly, efficient service. I did pick up with Toast Local a couple times every month for a year. Never did the salads but the sandwiches always hit. They also have some grocery basics like fresh fruit. A bit of indoor and outdoor seating. Never disappointed. Sad to be moving away from this neighborhood!
I had the pleasure stopping here after visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I ordered the Uncle Mike on a Kaiser roll, and when I tell you it was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten i mean that. I sat outside and was brought my food (I assumed I would have to go back in a get it) the lady was extremely nice and the lamb was spectacular. I highly recommend going if you are in the area.
I’ve tried this place several times over the last year. The food is simply bad. I ordered a corn beef sandwich it’s drenched in sauce doesn’t even taste like corned beef. I ordered an elote I have no idea why they would even call it an elote when it’s nothing like an elote. The food is way too expensive for how bad it taste.
Really chill atmosphere here. We grabbed some breakfast sandwiches, hot drinks, and dessert everything was solid! Yes it’s a little pricey but hot Vietnamese coffee is highly recommend. The flavor and balance were spot on and I 100% approve. Definitely coming back for that! Also, they’ve got a little dog treat container by the front door which is a nice touch. It’s a dog friendly spot but pups need to be on a leash and well behaved since they have fresh veggies and pantry goods around. We gave this place a shot and were super happy with how it turned out. Will for sure be back!
Quaint sandwich shop with super fresh ingredients! We tried a classic tuna hoagie, as well as the Chef Andy. The tuna was just a little bit more watery than I’d like but I enjoyed that it was on a seeded roll. The customer service was great, and I’d definitely come back to try more.
