Sandusky Scoops

First time ever going to scoops. I had currently just moved up here from Cleveland, Ohio, which I live in Port Clinton Ohio. I decided to give myself a sweet treat with my fiancé, and it is the best ice cream by far in Sandusky, Ohio even better than tofts!!! Great service and amazing environment.

I love small-town ice cream shops. They have the charm and personality that the chains can’t replicate. Sandusky Scoops is cute, fun, and appealing. The ice cream is really well made, and the flavors are both delicious and have the best names. Like any good ice cream shop, variety is key. There are about two dozen flavors to choose from with quirky names like Fat Elvis. Don’t worry: there are descriptions on the name tags and you can ask for samples. Get the ice cream by itself or venture into sundaes where flavors go to party like it’s 1999. The staff was pleasant. The did a great job of making my sundae and taking my payment. There are a couple of seats inside, and some bistro-style seating outside. A nice little stop while walking around downtown.

Sandusky’s New Ice Cream Spot Is Extra—in the Best Way. I had the brownie sundae tonight and wow—rich, over-the-top, and totally worth it. Fudge, whipped cream, warm brownie bites… it was dessert drama in a bowl. I couldn’t even finish it, and that says a lot. They don’t hold back—and that’s exactly why I’ll be back.

My husband and I were in Sandusky for a work conference and decided to stop by Sandusky Scoops — and wow, what a treat! From the moment we walked in, the shop had such a fun, welcoming vibe. The Kim was friendly and patient as we tried to decide from all the amazing flavors. The ice cream itself was outstanding — truly super-premium. You can taste the quality right away: it’s dense, creamy, and incredibly rich, with that old-fashioned flavor you only get from real, small-batch ice cream. Every bite was pure happiness. We each tried a couple of different flavors and couldn’t stop raving about how smooth and flavorful everything was.
