San Leandro Public Library

San Leandro Public Library is a fantastic community resource! The staff is friendly and helpful, the space is clean and inviting, and there’s a great selection of books and resources. It’s a quiet, peaceful place to study or relax. Highly recommend!

One of the best public libraries in the SF Bay Area. Clean, modern, easy to use with plenty of tables for studying. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Excellent children’s library within the library itself featuring extensive book collection in multiple languages and computer stations for online learning. Wide ranging DVD collection. Fabulous, though infrequently, open history room for researching San Leandro and Alameda County. Veterans resource center, computer room, cafe and book sale room all on site. Meeting rooms available for rental to the public and community groups.

Spending more than three hours reading in the library resulted in a $47 overtime fine. A truly shady establishment, hard to find anywhere else in the US.

Love the study pods most. They don’t let it get to loud and the offer lots of community bonding experiences.

Came here with a friend while we waited for her daughter to finish her doctor's appointment. I was very comfortable and it is a great place to read, relax and be surrounded by some of my favorite things, BOOKS!
