My culinary quest led me to San Gennaro on Arthur Avenue, which is a charming, small spot in the heart of the Bronx's Little Italy—a great location for a weekend brunch or afternoon espresso. Unfortunately, my experience with both the quality of the food quality and service was sadly disappointing. For appetizers, I ordered the Burrata and Calamari Fritti, (both were very nice)followed by the server-recommended main, the Paccheri Genovese. Despite only one other table being seated, the main course took approximately 30 minutes to arrive and was delivered at roughly room temperature. We met here for a family dinner and it was an amazing choice! They were even able to accommodate our reservation when we arrived earlier than expected. If we are back in the area we will return! The affogato was amazing and the kids loved the Lemon gelato.

Had the special of the mussels so so amazing. Gabbi our server was so sweet and funny and just made the whole meal. Love the atmosphere and the service was pretty fast, didn’t have to wait too long for our food. Also perfect for anyone with a gluten issue they have a full gluten free menu

We ventured into Arthur Av for lunch after hitting the NY Botanical Gardens. Thankfully, San Gennaro had available tables since it was Mother's Day. The restaurant is cozy, sitting for less than 40 people, including the tables outside. The staff are super friendly, prompt, and helpful. We started with the fried meatballs and the burrata salad with Prosciutto presuito. The burrata is homemade, and it's creamy and delicious. The salad was amazing. The meatballs were excellent. They were served in a little skillet with onions, garlic, and red peppers. For our mains, we ordered the ravioli alla bolagnese and the cavatelli with Italian sweet sausage & sauteed broccoli rabe.
