Sam's Southern Eatery

Oh my this is truly Southern eating in Okie Land. The food has so much flavor it will leave a great after taste in your mouth. Elijah the owner shows the best hospitality. He actually was the server when I went back a second time today.

Stopped in at Sam’s Southern Eatery for lunch and had a great experience! I started off with the hushpuppies, which were fresh and just the right amount of crispy. For my main dish, I ordered the fish poboy with a side of red beans and rice—the breading and seasoning on the fish were on point, and the red beans and rice were tasty and comforting.Our waiter, Elijah, was especially friendly and attentive, making the meal feel even more welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed and clean, and I appreciated how quick the service was. Overall, Sam’s is a solid spot for southern comfort food in Edmond. I’ll definitely be coming back for another fish poboy and to try more sides!Highly recommend if you’re looking for southern favorites and down-to-earth service

Went there for my first time yesterday and loved it. Great fish, shrimp, hush puppies and red beans and rice. Will be going back!!! They were very friendly and gave us a complimentary red beans and rice. We had way more than we could eat great as leftovers also

I put up a review a few months ago but it disappeared? Anyway Sams has great comfort food and is always clean. Beans and rice is excellent and its hard to find good catfish.

Not a bad place for a fish meal, but I must admit several items could be better. The catfish was more than adequate, but the taste and fillet size was on the small size. As a side, ordered hush puppies and had a grand total of five and they were on the small size (notice the pattern). Also, the rice and beans side had a thin layer of beans on the top (small size). But on a positive note, the people preparing and serving are very nice and sincere. In summary, may try other fish options within the Edmond area.
