Sam's Hot Dog Stand

Absolutely the worse Sams hotdog I’ve ever eaten , correction worse I’ve taken a bite of ! Naught the six pack just hotdogs with slaw and sauce. Was almost 17 .00 for six hot dogs . I took one bite spit it out and so did my wife . I love Sam’s hotdogs but never again.

Heard that the hot dogs here were really good. We were excited to eat them! When we got the order and took them home, we regretted going here for food. The hot dogs were very basic. What made it worse was that the condiments we requested on them were extremely minimal and only on the middle of the hot dog. It's like they put a slight squirt of mustard and ketchup and scooped onions in the middle. Seeing the rest of pictures from people going here having a hot dog full of the toppings they requested is Very disappointing

The building is small, and the menu is simple. But make no mistake. These hot dogs are fantastic, WV style hot dogs. The pork BBQ is fantastic as well. I recommend getting the hot dogs on an English (split-top or New England style) bun and having them toasted. They toast the buns in a garlic butter and it just makes them pop all the more. The slaw and the chili are also homemade, and it shows! There is a video lottery on site, and two small but functional restrooms. There is a bench with four chairs around it you can sit at, or on the side of the building that faces the exxon station, two picnic tables. All in all, a fantastic spot!

Loved the toppings but disappointed by the hot dogs. Tried regular and spicy, regular bun and fancy bun- didn't care for either.

I have been coming here for years. I stopped in yesterday on my way through Charleston for 2 hot dogs. They made me sick with food poisoning. I don't know if they sat out too long or what. The hot dogs didn't look fresh as they normally do. They looked kind of smashed and messy looking. I ordered 2 English buns with slaw, mustard, and chili. I stopped in around 7pm or so yesterday. I will not be back. I am still sick from eating it.....
