Sam's Fresh Seafood and Grill

Food was okay. I asked for my fish fried hard it was barely done. However my hush puppies were rock hard, (which I didn't ask for). My daughter's order came out wrong and she had to wait while the rest of us already had our food. The first time we came during the opening week, service was fantastic. Our food was made perfect. We were greeted, served, and checked on throughout our visit. Today it's like we were in a different restaurant.

I got gizzards and they were really good and a HUGE pertion. Red Beans and Rice was very good also. The Fried Green Tomatoes was also a very generous portion but think the tomatoes are on the end of their season so not as firm or tangy as at their peak but VERY WELL SEASONED COATING AND COOKED TO PERFECTION! I WILL be going back to try other dishes before we leave here.

Summer time calls for seafood. To anyone in Jacksonville, THIS IS THE BEST SEAFOOD RESTAURANT YOU WILL FIND! My boyfriend & I got the #24 and the #26, I had the fish and shrimp grilled and he had them fried. I didn’t know the oysters would arrive fried, but they were surprisingly really good. Oh it just got better and better! The grilled fish, amazing: juicy, flaky and fresh. The shrimp: both fried and grilled amazing! The beans!!! AMAZING. Guys, don’t miss out. Two meals and leftovers for later were $40 roughly. Mohammad, you’re the boss!! Thank you, thank you 😁

This was one of the cleanest seafood places I have been to in the area. The customer service was absolutely top tier thanks to Ms Brittany. The food was wonderful. I loved the entire experience!

1st time visiting me n my mother. I played it safe n got the 8pc fried shrimp with fries. Only problem with my food was that he gave me a very small amount of fries. It may seem petty but portion size matters as well. Besides that my meal was great! On the other hand my mother's "po boy" was not it. Being from the deep south po boys are sandwiches with meat falling out of it. There was literally 6 shrimp under all that bread. My mom is a chef so she was very disappointed. I learned a long time ago never get deep southern dishes if your not actually on the deep south. U will Waste your money. I will upload the pic when I get a chance
