Sami Sumeli Georgian European Restaurant

What an absolute gem for us to find! My husband and I were visiting for the weekend and discovered this place around the corner from our hotel. We tried the Khachapuri, khinkali special (a combo of all 4 options), and the chakhohbili - the food was incredibly flavorful, filling, and just all around delicious. I definitely recommend bringing friends with you to share the food because you’ll certainly have leftovers otherwise. Our server was very helpful in offering recommendations that embodied authentic Georgian cuisine. Service was great and we will absolutely be back when we’re in the area. Sami Sumeli is a must stop.

Such a lovely place! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The khachapuri is truly the best in town: soft, cheesy, and dangerously addictive. The Georgian eggplant is almost as good as the one I make at home (and that’s saying a lot 😉). Great service, cozy atmosphere, and nice Georgian music that really completes the experience. A must-visit if you love Georgian-European cuisine!

We had an amazing experience at Sami Sumeli! The food was absolutely delicious — the beef Khinkali dumplings were perfectly seasoned and juicy, the Adjarian Khachapuri was rich, warm, and comforting, and the Beef Lula Kebab was full of flavor and cooked just right. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service made everything even better. Special thanks to Olga, who took such great care of us and made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Georgian and European dishes done right!

This was my first time here, let alone eating Georgian cuisine. Was excited to try something new and was not disappointed. And it's so close to my home! I went during Super Bowl Sunday, so it was empty inside, to my benefit. The decor set a nice vibe and the music set the atmosphere well. I was seated at the bar and served by a great guy (sorry! I completely forgot to ask for your name! He was blonde with short hair!). He helped give some suggestions on the menu for someone unfamiliar with Georgian cuisine (super patient with my attempts at pronunciations lol) and also recommended a nice flight of wine! He filled the glasses to the BRIM! Im not a wine drinker but I thought I'd give it a go after he gave me the history lesson of Georgian wine being super influential. I wasn't disappointed

Loved this sweet new restaurant ❤️ It was our first real exposure to Georgian food and we loved it- we ordered the Kharcho beef soup which was both hearty and light somehow, as well as the DECADENT khachapuri. The space is peaceful and beautifully designed, the staff was so welcoming and kind. We will definitely return with our kids because we think they’ll love this too! Plus so much more on the menu to try—
