Salty Roan Bakehouse

I was really excited to try this place after my favorite local croissant stop closed down. I have to say I was not impressed, and the best thing I got was their cookies. They were chewy, yet cakey, and full of chocolate chips. They are absolutely perfect. I shared with a few friends and they all felt that everything was okay. The place is cute but I feel that the price is a bit steep for how much you get. Overall it was not bad, but not something I would seek out again.

Salty Roan is hands down my favorite eatery in Abilene. I'll skip a sit down breakfast for one of salty roan breakfast sandwiches. Everything we've had here is amazing. I feel personally obligated to make sure it stays in business.

First time here and felt so welcomed! The pastries are delicious, especially the chocolate chip cookie right of the oven, chef’s kiss 🤌. Will definitely be back for more

This place is amazing, definitely the best Croissants we have had. We can't get over how flakey and buttery the croissants were absolutely outstanding, none were overly sweet either! My husband said it looked like everything should be in a magazine, they definitely out do themselves. 10/10 recommend

This bakery is amazing and we are so fortunate to have it in Abilene! It is always clean and the staff always friendly. The owners are such hard workers and it is a family run business. The master baker, Chelsie, is so accomplished and her baked items look (and taste) like something you’d see in a European cafe/bakery or on the Food Network. Everything I’ve ever tasted has been delicious. But the almond croissant is always my go to! My husband loves their coconut cream pies. My daughter, their strawberry cinnamon rolls. Even their gluten free stuff tastes amazing!!
