Salty Hook Sandwich Shop

Small place, but comfy and loved the beach / ocean decor. The two young ladies there were really nice. They had ice cream and some sweets, but came for the sandwiches. Heard they had a good Cuban sandwich here, so had to try it, and it didn't disappoint - big sandwich, toasted bread / crunchy just right and juicy pork meat - the spicy mustard went great with it. Also, tried their midnight sandwich and their cheese steak - both equally good. Lastly, had the freshly made potato salad, and enjoyed it - creamy just right and liked the subtle sweet taste it had; went well with my honey BBQ chips. This place was a cool little surprise; must check out if you're in the area👍

We stopped by for lunch on our way to our newly purchased condo on Crystal River. We were delighted to find such a cute little sandwich & ice cream shop so close to our new home! My husband had the meatball sub which he thoroughly enjoyed. The amount of meat and sauce were generous and delicious. However, the addition of a pickle spear (or a few chips?) would have been greatly appreciated. I had the BLT, and requested it with the croissant bread, which they seemed happy to do. Unfortunately the amount of bacon served on the sandwich was limited to two extremely thin slices of bacon. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and delicious, but I honestly could barely taste the bacon. We will try this little spot again, but definitely wont have the BLT.

We visited all the way from England! What a treat. Amazing Cuban sandwiches, generous portion size. My daughter had a smoothie and said it was the best ever!! Friendly welcome and super cute little place to eat. A must stop if you’re near by. We will definitely be back again when we next fly across the pond.

The Philly was hot and delicious. It was hard to pick just one sandwich. Will definitely be back. I feel like everything on the menu is gonna smack.

Midnight Cuban, Philly, Sweet Tea- all were stellar! Very fresh and awesome bread. The desserts were also definitely worth it.
