Absolutely stellar service in great outdoor setting looking at red rocks! Good choices of margaritas in particular as well as draft beers with a rotating local selection. Margaritas were made even better with a house made chipotle salt on the glass's rims. Good choice of appetizers as well as a decent vegetarian option (2 people in our party of 4 were vegetarian). They were out of the scallop dish as well as the other seafood dish on the menu - as we had no intention of ordering seafood in the middle of the desert that was a non issue. The steak dish at $ 60 had an excellent, exactly as desired rare, and good 8 oz steak, server on mashed potatoes. Only negative comment would be that there were exactly 2 measly little mushrooms pretending to be the accompanying vegetable - pretty shamefu

So our dinner got off to a rough start. We had a reservation, arrived 5 minutes before, was told our table was almost ready but then we waited and waited. Maybe it wasn’t that long but as we were waiting a couple who didn’t have a reservation but stated they were staying at the hotel sat down before us. Interesting, I guess because we were not staying at the Amara hotel our reservation didn’t matter. I brought this to the host attention who then told me I could sit outside or wait 10 minutes for a table. No apologies at all. Once we did sit down it definitely went uphill from there, prompt service by our waiter, our water glasses were never left empty, food was fabulous. Ordered the crab empanadas, corn ribs, beef short ribs and scallops and pork belly. Ate everything on the plate.

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The margaritas were fantastic, and the tuna tostadas were some of the best we ever had, including from Tahiti and Hawaii. They had the right amount of spice and they gave you quite a large serving. I got the birria tacos and my husband got the achiote half chicken (spelling?). The tacos were very flavorful, and the chicken was not dry whatsoever. The spice blend was unique. The service was fast and easy. We would definitely recommend and visit again. (We did not stay at the hotel - valet was free)

We had a wonderful dinner at SaltRock Kitchen! Our waitress, Lauren, was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. We sat on the outdoor patio and enjoyed an absolutely beautiful sunset view — it couldn’t have been more perfect. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the service matched the view. Highly recommend if you’re in Sedona!

Five of us had an excellent dinner at Saltrock Kitchen. Make sure you make reservations for Friday and Saturday nights as most of the Sedona restaurants fill up quick. Excellent service and food but the portions were not large. I had the scallops and Pork Belly which was excellent but it would be nice if it came with additional veggies or a larger side.
