Salsas of Lake City

Clean, throughout location. Wheel chair accessible, and very friendly, accommodating staff. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount and quality of food. I gave four stars on atmosphere only due to it is a very busy establishment focused on what it is supposed to be. If that makes sense.... decor is very appropriate for the theme and food served. Actually, as I type this review my wife called, and is picking up takeout from Salsas for our dinner tonight from Salsas.

They now charge for chip refills after the second basket, which no other Mexican restaurant chain does. They also charge a credit card fee. Service was extremely poor, and food was made wrong. We alerted the waitress, who had been largely absent all night (never checking in or refilling drinks), and she said there was nothing she could do and that we should have told her sooner (even though we hadn't seen her in 20 minutes). We asked for a manager, and she all but refused until we demanded. The manager finally came and offered us a discount, but when we paid with cash, she brought back incorrect change. Our change should have been $5.72, and she handed us a $5 bill, said goodnight, and briskly walked away. I followed her to ask for the rest of my change, and when she saw me she said, "

Happy Hour margaritas are usually terrible but not at Salsas!! Two for one margaritas were great!! The Super Burrito Loco is literally the largest burrito I’ve ever seen!!! Good chips and salsa too! Connie was our server and very friendly! I give them a Five Margarita rating!! 🤣

Menu says you get 3 tacos with rice and beans for $16.50. I ordered Birra. It comes with no rice and beans. I ask the waitress. She says that one doesn't come with it. I said the menu says it does. She says, yea not that one. Ok. The bill comes and Im charged $17 (instead if $16.50) for 3 flavorless tacos. Husband's meal was huge, but also pretty flavorless. The guacamole was good. No thanks. Won't be back. Much better options around.

Loved this place! Visiting family in the area and stopped in for lunch. Great 2 for 1 drink deals and a voluminous menu! Very authentic Mexican dishes and lots of variations on the theme. The wait staff and greeter were awesome. Our server Gustavo was attentive, pleasant and very charming. The margaritas were super! We ordered Nachos Supremo, a Chimichanga, Shrimp Diablo, Quesadilla - all superb (see the pics)
