Salsa's Burrito Grill

The Birria tacos were delicious with warm gooey cheese between the two corn tortillas and accompanied with a savory consomme. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for some tasty Mexican food. You will leave satisfied.

Return trip to Salsa Burrito Grill. For lunch, I've gone with two soft shell tacos. Chicken has been my go to. I've had chicken pastor and carnitas on previous visits. Usually add rice, black beans, meat, corn, cheese, Pico and sour cream. Generally a good portion and extremely good value. Place has a couple tables and a counter and is good for a quick bite or to go orders. Food tasted fresh and authentic. El gringo says Gracia! Mucho Bueno. Quiero mas.

Typically I pick up take-out from here. I have gotten outstanding birria tacos here (and sometimes soggy birria tacos) but when they are good and crispy, with the cheesy tortilla they are top notch. The consume is also more flavorful some times than other times, but I have recently tried the papusas and can’t say enough good things about them. They are very tasty and made fresh, the slaw has a nice acidity and the sauce is flavorful too. Tres leches is pretty awesome too. You have to give them a try, great food for a little place out in Portsmouth.

Food here was delicious! My sister brought me here after telling me about it for months and I’m glad we stopped by! I got a bowl and forgot to get a pic before digging in so here’s my half-finished veggie bowl! Hope to be back here again soon!

This is a walk in, walk out place with a little outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and quick. The food was quite generously portioned and very good. Loved the salsa. We ordered birria tacos, a large shredded beef burrito, chips and salsa, and the sweet plantains, which are desserty- drizzled in caramel and cinnamon sugar.
