The food was great! We ordered the app sampler with Calamari, Italian wings, and Arancini. Loved the wings and arancini. The pizza was the Calabrian Stinger. The hot honey is a great addition, as weird as it may sound. The dough was top notch, and the sauce, amazing. The service was mediocre. The black salt Margarita was not in fact a black salt Margarita. They ran out of the black salt, and didn’t tell us until it was already made and at the table. I ordered root beer and got cream soda. I will admit, I did drink it, and it was good. Although that was not what I wanted nor what I ordered.

Great tasting pizza: attentive and polite service; tasteful decor. What's not too like? The Big Deal is that the pizza is coal fired. It's a so somewhat irregularly shaped. We were initially served one REALLY irregular, with apologies, and the promise of a better-shaped one in a few minutes, but we should help ourselves to the weird one. So we did. Tasted great. We basically got two great pizzas for the price in one. The house salad was really good too, and quite enough to share as a side salad among 4 adults.

I have been here half a dozen times at this point, starting with their grand opening and circling back whenever I am in the mood for pizza that actually feels worth the effort. That first night set a pretty wild tone. There were performers, including a Boy George impersonator, Donna Summer impersonator, and a saxophonist who also sang and absolutely stole the room. The space itself is lively without being chaotic. It can get loud when it is full, but it works with the energy rather than against it. Service has consistently been warm and dialed in, even when the place is packed. You notice people paying attention without hovering. The food is the real reason I keep coming back. The tomato pizza is deceptively simple and really lets the sauce do the work. I’ve been to most of the New Haven

We had an amazing lunch at Sally’s Apizza, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The sauce here is the main event, rich, perfectly balanced, and unforgettable. We ordered two lunch pizzas, one with ricotta and mushrooms and another with hot honey and chicken. Both were really, really good with a beautifully crispy, charred crust, incredible flavor, and clearly made with intention. We also shared the lunch rigatoni vodka and the lunch vodka parm handheld with fries, and wow, massive portions and seriously delicious. Comfort food done right. We debated getting the arancini but decided we had already ordered more than enough for two people. That’s when our incredible waiter, Tommy, surprised us by bringing the arancini on the house so we could try it, and it did not disappoint. Hands dow

I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately it was a pretty lackluster experience. It began with our 2 soft drinks being forgotten, but not a huge deal. Mistakes happen, then the Caesar salad we ordered was drowned with dressing, to a point where the entire salad was soggy. The wings were undercooked. !! I heard the pizza at the New Haven location taste way better, maybe I will try them one day, but this location did not do it for me. The restaurant did not seem too busy at the time, and just to get a check and a box for the leftover pizza took so long. Lastly, the tik tok videos do not show floppy pizzas, but ours was so floppy. Too bad it wasn’t the experience we were hoping for.
