Dear Management, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred recently at Sakura Germantown MD involving a server named Victor. I have been a loyal customer of Sakura for over 20 years. I dine at your restaurant regularly—at least three times a week—and I also frequently place delivery orders. Because of this long-standing relationship, I was extremely surprised and upset by the unprofessional behavior I experienced. During my visit, Victor was rude and used inappropriate language toward me, including cursing. This behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the level of service I have come to expect from Sakura over the years. My husband and I visited last weekend for the first time, and it was pretty good. They were understaffed the night we came, so our bartender was running around trying to help his colleagues. Not a huge deal, but it did make out wait a little longer. I’m assuming this is why the restaurant was in disarray; not dirty, but unorganized. Those are my only suggestions, everything else was great! Our bartender was very nice and made us laugh the entire time. The food was delicious! I’d definitely like it if they started offering noodles with their teppanyaki, but it was still good regardless. The cocktails are also good, and very strong. It was a nice experience for the most part. We would definitely return!

How the mighty have fallen. I've been coming here for 20 years, and I just had my last visit. I moved to Florida a couple years ago and I was so excited to be back and pay Sakura a visit. Too bad. The chef we got was a complete amateur, food tasted like garbage. He doused everything in so much soy sauce that it was the only thing I could taste in the whole meal. There were a couple of veteran chefs left, but you'll be lucky if you get one. I'm so sad. If you are thinking about visiting because of fond memories like I did, don't ruin them by coming now. Savor the memory of that delicious food instead, because you probably won't get it again.

The food was delicious and tasty. The dinner was prepared in front of us. Nice ambiance. Spacious, cozy and clean.

This place deserves better as the chefs are fun and the food is tasty the hostess at the front had a terrible attitude and rather argue on the phone with whomever than assist. My cousin had a broken leg and she refuse to let her sit even though the place was empty and her dad was only parking as we had to drop her in front. From there the service only got worse. But the chefs were fun and meal was ok. They probably should consider getting a hostess that cares and wait staff with less attitude. I understand its tough but we are still paying customers and deserve a little better treatment.
