Sakura Asian Bistro and Sushi

Jeez, let me tell ya, Sakura Asian Bistro and Sushi is wicked pissah! I mean, the food's top-notch, the staff is super friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere's got that fancy-schmancy vibe goin' on. I walked in and was greeted like a regular, and the decor's got that sleek, mod look that makes ya wanna take a pic for the 'Gram. The sushi's fresh, the rolls are creative, and the prices are decent for the area. The drinks? Bangin'! And the staff? They're on point! Knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed. All in all, Sakura's got it goin' on. If you're lookin' for a solid sushi spot in Boston, look no further. It's a wicked good time, and you'll be back for more, trust me!"

We were in the area for a show and headed over for a nice dinner beforehand. They did not disappoint! We got the Sakura box and everything was so fresh and the flavors were wonderful. Staff was super nice and it was nice and cozy as well. This is a new favorite stop for us in Somerville for sure.

Came here for lunch, will definitely come back for more! Everything was delicious, fun cocktails, ample portions, attentive service, and nice ambience.

Amazing service, Tonkatsu chicken noodle ramen was very tasty. Very cozy place with great food and service. Janet was incredibly helpful and positive!

I continue my Boston quest to find at least a decent, authentic place for Japanese food. After having lunch at Sakura, it seems my search will continue for years to come. The name Sakura in Japanese means cherry blossom but the interior is painted in a heavy, burgundy red that casts a somber, dark mood in the proceedings. The extensive menu revealed that the chef has expanded his offerings to include China, and other places in the Far East. I find that always a sign Japanese cuisine is not going to be at its authentic self. The Chirashi don (sashimi over rice) was a case in point- the rice was undercooked - and when I told my server politely to tell the chef that the rice ‘was a little hard’ all she did was to use my phrase to reproduce an echo, and went back to her station by the front.
