Saku Yakitori & Sushi Bar

Enjoyed eating here after the Seattle Seahawks game we came to. Walking distance from our hotel. Very friendly waiter that I didn’t catch his name. Unfortunately. Small portion Sashimi Salmon but tasty. Different tasting spicy edamame but grew on you. Had the Nirvana Sushi roll was delicious. Fare selection of Cabs.

Really enjoyed the creativity they use here. Some of the execution could have been a touch better, but nothing was bad really. Nice top shelf sake options available. Very cozy and cool looking atmosphere.

Overall wouldn’t ever recommend anyone go here until the dishwashing team does a better job. The first plate that the host put down she immediately picked back up because it was extremely dirty still. This foreshadowed the rest of our experience. One of the forks was disgusting, picture attached. Clearly not washed properly. This made me skeptical of all of the other dishes and silverware. To make matters worse, the water they served was extremely dirty. Im not saying this to nitpick. Every single person in our group had floating things in there water from the second it was poured. Shame; the food was not horrible but I barely ordered much as it’s hard to trust what is going on in the kitchen when the front of house is extremely dirty. Get new dishwashing staff asap.

The food was excellent. The servers were knowledgeable and responsive. Service was great. Best sashimi I have had in Charlotte. The music was techno and a bit loud for conversation, thus the four star on atmosphere. What matters is the food and service both were easily five stars. Try the TLC role.

Had a date night with my wife this past weekend. The food was really good. We ordered the Dumplings and the Crab Avocado Rolls as starters, and both of them were SUPER tasty. Then we had the Yakitori (skewers). The chicken and pork belly ones, were delicious. The ribeye on the other hand, had a weird taste. We didn’t know what it was specifically, but we think it was the sauce; we left it on the plate. Then we had the sushi rolls. The Nirvana (creamy texture) and the Bushido (crunchy texture) were simply AMAZING! At the end, we had Matcha Ice Cream, and my wife had Wild berry Ice Cream (if I’m not mistaken).
