Saigonista Banh Mi

The food is great! I stopped eating halfway to write this review because I fell in love with the flavor and the vibes 🩷 The owners and their daughter is so cute!! They brought the food out to OUR CAR because it was cold outside..so sweet 🥹. It’s hard to find decent or authentic vietnamese banh mi in BCS. Oftentimes they only serve grilled meats instead of the traditional cold cuts (cha lua, etc) so I was pleasantly surprised!! Their drinks are also fire. Get the salted plum kumquat for something refreshing and get the salted Vietnamese coffee for an energizing sweet drink 😋

The egg rolls, crackling pork, beef, and plain rainbow fries were so amazing. My partner does not usually like sweet potato fries but he loved these. We will definitely be coming back. I loved having the cucumber and carrots included too. Their egg rolls and crackling pork are to die for, so crunchy. They even brought the order out to people's cars today when it was so cold. noticed there was a new food truck near midnight cravings and decided to have a go at it - so worth !! their bánh mì is SO FILLED and so flavorful. i got the og and crackling pork and both were super yummy but preferred the og. staff are super sweet and checked in on me and my friends plenty, even gave us rice milk tea on the house which was also good. i would def recommend if you have the time to stop by and give it a try, maybe a top 5 place in cstat for me :))

The fish cake banh mi is flavorful and satisfying. The fish cake is tender, with a lightly crisp exterior and a savory, slightly sweet flavor. Fresh cilantro, pickled carrots, and cucumber add crunch and brightness that balance the richness. The bread is crunchy and holds everything together well, with just the right amount of sauce for extra flavor. Highly recommend for a banh mi spot!

I had the crispy pork belly banh mi and it was nothing short of delicious . The pork was crunchy and savory, as well as the bread. Veggies were fresh, especially the pickled radish. The environment was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend if you want an authentic banh mi. Also their drinks are really refreshing, the sugarcane one
