Saigon BOWL- Authentic Vietnamese Bistro

I happened to come on the opening day with my husband and we were both blown away! First, the service was wonderful. All of the staff were so kind and friendly. Second, the food was phenomenal. I ordered the shrimp pho and my husband got the pork vermicelli. All of the ingredients were so fresh and steaming hot when we got them. I have actually been so disappointed in the local Vietnamese food I started making it at home. I definitely won’t do that anymore! 5/5, we will definitely be back soon. Edit: we came back on 6/17 again and both ordered pho! The portion sizes were great. We got two appetizers and two entrees for $49 which I thought was very reasonable for the quality of food. The service sucked. The staff is unfriendly! Even tho it didn't appear to be busy, it took a long time for the food to arrive. My pho bowl was wrong despite me putting emphasis on what I wanted. My egg rolls were cold inside. I asked for more, the Vietnamese worker, I assumed the cook, said I was lying. Literally called me a liar. I have never had suck a terrible experience at a Vietnamese restaurant. Highly do not recommend!

This is definitely not the same restaurant it was before the new ownership took over. I used to eat here all the time but after the new owners took over the food is not prepared to the same standard. The pho is OK, but they don't serve it with Thai basil or culantro, at least not the two times I went. One time I asked for extra veggies on the side and they brought me only a large plate of blanched bean sprouts. Communication is a real problem. They don't seem to understand English very well. They will likely mess up your order if you don't point to exactly what you want on the menu. Don't bother asking for anything extra or special. This restaurant definitely deserves the 5 stars that I gave it. I had the Oxtail Pho bowl with side of Tendons added. My PHO was so good and well worth ordering. my husband had the lemon grass chicken sandwich and when I say it was tasty I mean it. To top it off my server was very attentive and polite… I will definitely be back!

Very authentic vnese food! Their broth is as good as my hometown in VN! The owner is a sweet grandpa on top of that.
