Ryoshi Sushi & Izakaya

It was a bit of hit and miss. We liked the yakitori skewers the most. The Ryoshi roll came out as a pressed roll, which we were not expecting (it should be labeled as such on the menu, as pressed or oshizushi). The sukiyaki only has 2 slices of beef in it and the pot was quite small and hard to cook properly. Most of the pot is filled with cabbage. I don’t think it’s a very authentic Japanese restaurant, was a bit disappointed.

13/10 best sushi ever - the staff were SO friendly, the environment was very chill and calm and the sushi was AMAZING. HIGHLY recommend the hamachi carpaccio and the thai tea 🔥🔥 Also the mille crepe for dessert ??? so good. Loved loved this is our new favorite sushi spot.

Two very skilled chefs were preparing all the orders in the open kitchen at incredible speed. It was a bit disappointing that they pre-sliced the sushi fish to cope with the rush of customers. However, as soon as an order came in, they would shape the rice by hand and make the nigiri on the spot. One chef focused solely on making rolls. Upon seating, guests were served grilled fish head as a complimentary appetizer, which was delicious. The taste suggested that the chefs had trained at an authentic, traditional Japanese restaurant. The quality of the rice was excellent, but the sushi vinegar could have been slightly more pronounced. Before leaving Bend, I plan to return to try other sushi dishes. Amazing food. 2 rolls, cuttlefish skewer, large hot house sake and a cocktail for $41. Probably the best sushi prices for what you get in CO Everyone was super friendly, chill and definitely an izakaya environment. 10/10

Came here for a special occasion and this place did not dissapoint! Probably the best fish I have had in Bend. So fresh, melt in your mouth tuna was a highlight. We got the original box and it really was a whole experience, and I tried multiple types of fish I had never had before. The photo is missing a bite because I got excited and started eating before taking a picture lol!
