Ruth's Chris Steak House

It was my birthday and I chosen to dine alone. But the wait staff was very humble, nice and cordial to me. The food has always been superb 👌🏾 to me. Knowing who the manger on duty this particular was extremely helpful. He has always been courteous, polite and on point when it comes to customer and the restaurant. And his name is Jimmy Rodgers, you would know him if you saw him. He has a wonderful personality, you just can't miss...Thank you for my Special Birthday Jimmy, Matt and Gavin...

This is a great post-work stop for those who need to unwind or crank out another couple of hours of work close to Southpoint! The bartender, Desmond, was pleasant, attentive and efficient. I didn't feel pressured to order quickly which matters as I can be an indecisive customer. Anything I asked for was received with a genuine smile and upbeat spirit. The manager, AJ, was a conversationalist and easy to connect with. He checked on guests around the bar during my time, sharing smiles and laughter. I ordered the steak sandwich which was cooked well! The moody ambiance and cheerful service made me add this spot to my Durham Happy Hour list.

We had Christmas dinner at **Ruth’s Chris in Durham**, and while the overall environment was comfortable and the staff were warm and welcoming, the food was unfortunately underwhelming. We ordered three steaks—a ribeye, a filet, and a New York strip—all cooked medium. However, when the dishes arrived, not only was the execution fairly average, but the steak plates themselves looked as if they had been through a battle, with greasy smears and no effort made to clean or present them properly. It was quite shocking and hard to believe this level of presentation came from a restaurant like Ruth’s Chris. Overall, the service and atmosphere were positives, but the food quality and attention to detail did not meet expectations.

Food was amazing, I had the pork chops and hubby had the lamb chops, both flavorful and cooked to perfection. The stuff mushrooms on the other hand were okay, served at a temperature (not warm enough) that may it just blah for me. The staff where friendly and attentive.

Fantastic and elegant dining experience. Smoked old fashion was absolutely perfect and worth the charge, and everything else was cooked to perfection. Outstanding meal as expected
