We drove by this place on chance one day and saw they had these nachos but available only on Thursdays. So, we came back a second time just to order their nachos with the brisket added. Honestly, worth the drive and worth the wait! Absolutely delicious! We ordered the hush puppies, and two sides to take home with us: BBQ black beans and mac n' cheese. Food was top notch! Can't wait to make the drive out here again. The service was great, the wait about 30-35 mins. This was our Valentine's Day weekend dinner and it was perfect. Thank you for a great night!
Greatest food I've ever had. I got the brisket bomb and WOW... I have never had brisket before but I was blown away by how amazing it was. I ate a lot earlier in the day so I only could finish half of it, but next day (today) I reheated the other half in the toaster and WOW again, tasted even better than fresh, because the bread was toasted and crunchy. I love the atmosphere and the food came out insanely quickly, the food came within 10 minutes of ordering, it actually might have been closer to 5 minutes. Very friendly staff and a great rustic bar feel, very Midwest feely.
This place is hands down one of the best, if not the best, BBQ spot in the area. All the meats were well seasoned and tender. The ribs were falling off the bone. The Mac and cheese was also extremely creamy. Highly recommend checking this place out.
I’ve heard amazing things about the Rusty Can for years & finally decided to try it. No regrets, the pulled pork is amazing, tender & juicy and flavorful. The ribs are also very good. The BBQ meats are good period. The Mac and cheese is like stove top, not baked. Very good though & a decent sized portion. The collard greens should immediately be removed off the menu, im not sure if it’s a regional thing but all I tasted was vinegar & water, not good at all. The cornbread was a bit dry both times I went but the butter that came with it really saved it & me from choking from how dry they were. The wings are immaculate. Highly suggest the buffalo wings, very unique buffalo sauce but I was in love. Juicy, hot, and crispy. I give one star for the really shitty service we received. I figured
Rusty Can is the best barbecue you'll find around. You could bring somebody in here from North Carolina, South Carolina, or Texas and they would readily have to admit how good the barbecue is. On this visit I finally gave and I'm tried their version of a North shore beef. The thing was an absolute monster, delicious, Smokey. It lived up to expectations. I will say though, the star of the show are the brisket nachos if you have the chance to order them.
