Rumba Cubana

One of the best Cuban restaurants I’ve been to—the food, service, and ambience were all exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and lively energy set the tone for a great dining experience. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything arrived perfectly. The empanadas(especially Guava ones) were absolutely to die for—crispy on the outside with a rich, flavorful filling that made them impossible to stop eating. The Pollo Rumbero was the highlight of the meal, cooked perfectly with bold, authentic Cuban flavors that really stood out. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared, and it’s definitely a place I’d return to again.

We went to Rumba Cubana recently and had an amazing experience.. The service was also very good. We ordered Sopa De Lenteja(Lentil Soup),Calamares Rumberos( Fried Calamari),Trio De Empanadas Polio(Chicken Empanadas),Pargo Frito Entero ( Fried whole Red Snapper) served with fries and salad,Churrasco Rumbero( Beef steak) served with rice and black beans and La Gallinita Ciega ( Grilled chicken breast with rice and black beans) from the kids menu. Everything was scrumptious . I really loved the Red snapper. Also the beef steak came with fried prawns on top of it. One of our friends have seafood allergy and we requested if we could have the prawns separately in the side. They accepted the request without any hesitation. For dessert we ordered Churros A Lo Cubano it was soo delicious.. very moi

I am extremely disappointed with my recent takeout order from Rumba Cubana placed today, 12/24/2025, about an hour ago. I spent almost $200 on this order and received portions that were shockingly small and completely unreasonable for the price. I ordered salad, pernil, arroz moro, and ropa vieja, tostones, and rabo and the containers were less than half full. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, this level of portioning is unacceptable and feels careless at best. There is no justification for sending out takeout containers that are barely filled, especially for an order of this cost. The server handling the order was Elizabeth B., and this experience reflects very poorly on the service and quality control at this location. At no point was I informed that portion sizes would be

I’ve been a frequent customer at Rumba Cubana in Jersey City this year, and every visit has been wonderful. The food is consistently delicious and authentic, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the service is always friendly and attentive. It truly feels like a place that cares about its guests. From the cocktails to the main dishes, everything is top quality. Highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing Cuban food!

I was jonesing for a Cuban sandwich and decided to try the one from this place. Let me tell you that this was fantastic, up there with the best Cuban sandwiches I can remember having when I was growing up in Washington Heights, NYC. Along with the fries, it was perfect. It was also super filling, I had to finish it off later on during the day. My coworkers had a chicken sandwich and a plate of bacalao and both were over the moon with their selections. Strongly recommended, the food and vibe were both very solid. I almost forgot to mention the margarita I had which was also perfectly made.
