Rugged Root Candy & Coffee House

I’m from Columbia Mo and am always looking for a good breakfast joint no matter where I go. I judge by the quality of the biscuits and gravy 😁 Amazing, home made biscuits and gravy. The sausage is very mild tasting, buttery biscuits and creamy gravy! Great!

Popped in for a salted carmel latte and hot chocolate paired with breakfast kolaches and a cheesecake truffle. The drinks were served at the perfect temperature. The breakfast treat had just the right amount of filling to dough ratio. Delicious, inside and out! The truffle was sweet, the perfect bite! Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time! Explore everything!

Great place for coffee and muffins! Montgomery City doesn't have a ton of options so the bar doesn't have to be very high, but these folks serve everyone as if it were the Lord Himself stopping in for coffee! Love it.

Just enjoyed the most amazing liquid version of a Cinnamon Roll. Wasn’t sure what to get on our first visit to Rugged Root, the Cinnamon Roll Latte was recommended. It was delicious, not too sweet, just a wonderful flavor. The peanut butter chocolate candy was better than anything store bought. We will definitely return. Next time with friends. Great experience, nice to be greeted with great customer service too!

A nice, quiet little coffee shop. Coffee was good and the pumpkin muffin complemented it nicely. The layout has plenty of seating and the service was friendly and helpful.
