Ruben's Dupont Circle

For anyone searching for authentic California burritos, look no further! Since moving from San Diego, I’ve struggled to find Mexican food that meets my high bar for guacamole, carne asada, salsa verde and most importantly, the classic California burrito. This place finally delivered! Thank you, Ruban, and your amazing staff for bringing those flavors I’ve been missing.

Jeremiah and Chris are the two best guys you could hope for when walking into a bar. Wonderful atmosphere, amazing food, even better service. This place saved our night out!

My husband and I came to DC for a little getaway and this place was I walking distance from our hotel. The vibe was great. We got free shots upon entering. The spicy tequila was really good. We ordered 2 margaritas, passionfruit and strawberry. They were really good. Especially the passion fruit. Now to the food. We had Birria Tacos, Cali fries w steak, and the chicken burrito and for desserts, Churos. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. Everything was simply AMAZING!! We will definitely be coming again the next time we're in DC.

I actually went to DC to go to the Mimosa festival since I missed it listening to my fiance lol so we decided to find a bar and we ended up here.at Rubens it was pretty busy when we got there but we have served right away drinks for good food was good and had great specials great music hope to visit again soon even the security guard outside was very nice and friendly. We did leave to go somewhere else but ended the night right back here we ordered some loaded fries picture in my other phone but they were the best loaded fries I've ever had well most definitely be back 👍🏾

Really liked Ruben's Taco Tuesday deal!!! I came in looking for a different restaurant but found this one appealing as a tiny side restaurant in the popular DuPont Circle Area. The taco Tuesday deal is 1.99 per taco on Tuesdays! I thought it was a good deal for what it was. I really liked the chorizo taco out of all three (steak and chicken being the other ones). I would probably come back just for that taco in the future. On top of that, I really loved the hot sauce they had. It was really good and added a really nice kick to the taco. I wouldn't get the horchata again though. While it wasn't bad, it doubled the cost of my order haha !!
