My first time trying a bolo bao chicken sandwich, and honestly it’s top tier. I’ve eaten a lot of chicken sandos and flavor-wise, Rubato hits with this one. The rice rolls were a comforting appetizer too.
The food is delicious. I've had their specialty congee multiple times, and it hits the spot every time. The lava egg yolk French toast is also to die for. The ambiance is cozy— not a lot of seating space, but people are in and out pretty quickly. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no bathroom. Overall a good spot for a quick meal.
If you’ve been to Hong Kong and enjoyed the food you got there then this little gen tucked away in Quincy is a must-go for their authentic flavours We’ve been here a few times and every time the food has been great. The beef curry deserves its own fan base. Bolo baos balance sweet and savoury brilliantly. The baos are truly authentic and delicious. The French toasts are great - maybe overly sweet but hey - that’s how they do it in HK The tea - both hot and cold were also flavoursome. Cheung fun’s are also great - fish ballls and brisket in particular The conjee is good if you like it and if you don’t then why would you order it! They close at 4 (yes!) so that’s odd and also are closed on Monday and Tuesday Place has no more than 10 seats so it may be a bit uncomfortable if you plan to ea
Absolutely incredible breakfast! The fried chicken sandwich was perfection—crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor, all on a unique biscuit-like bun that was slightly sweet and buttery. The balance of textures and flavors was spot on! The French toast was next-level—crispy on the outside, soft and custardy on the inside, topped with the perfect amount of crumble and drizzled with a rich glaze. Every bite was indulgent in the best way possible. Paired with hot coffee, this meal was an absolute treat. The food was clearly made with care, and the flavors were unforgettable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a standout brunch experience!
The place is pretty tiny so I don't recommend sitting down. But the food was amazing! Especially the lava egg yolk French toast. It's probably the best French toast that I have ever had.
