Roux On Canton

If I wrote this review based on my most recent visit alone, I’d give it 0 stars but I won’t do that. I usually go for the oyster happy hour which is always great (I love their hot sauces) but I’ve tried the chicken salad sandwich, the burger (pictured) and the gumbo (with shrimp is a few dollars more, also pictured), not amazing but not bad. I’ve only ever sat in the small outdoor area because the weather has been nice but I went yesterday when it was cold. I walked in and waited by the door for the hostess. I usually sit at the bar when dining alone but it was about 90% full and I didn’t really want to squeeze between others. Really enjoyed their salmon entree and the dip appetizer (not pictured). Food was good. Had a very tavern like atmosphere. Although it was a small restaurant they were able to seat our group of six comfortably. Also despite the power outages from the weather, they were able to get our food out fast.

This restaurant is cute, great ambiance, and service at the bar was great. We were here during Alive in Roswell, so they were busy. We ordered a drink and the fried grouper. The fish was delicious, I just wish we got a little more for $15. We’re planning on coming back for their oyster happy hour.

Shoutout to the staff at Roux for being super accommodating for our large party (8). They didn’t need to accommodate us, but made it happen anyway. The food is amazing! 100% recommend especially if you are in part of 2-4 people! 🤩

Fantastic menu, delicious food and upbeat atmosphere with live music. Didn't get any drinks but looking forward to trying them next time.
