Roots Cafe and Grill

Since it was our first time visiting this place, we had an incredibly positive experience. We received such wonderful hospitality from the owner, who is also the chef, his sweet and kind wife, and especially Daisy, their daughter, who was so nervous worrying about what might go wrong. We told her how excellent she was. Everyone was extremely accommodating. The food was exquisite, and the atmosphere was quiet and welcoming. I know we'll be back with pleasure.

Such an amazing cafe! The Chef Alfredo is so friendly! He came out to our table to introduce himself, and send out an order of his off the menu homemade tamales that were in special that day for us to try! And they had to be the best tamales I have ever had! We got great service by his daughter daisy, and to make it even better her co worker Kim went out of her way to make this an unforgettable experience for us! 10/10 recommend and we will be back here every time we want to come out for breakfast!

Do NOT get coffee from here (& I've drank some bad coffee in my day) the sausage tasted less than McDonald's. The omelet was okay only. The fresh fruit was good. And the service was great, down home & "see ya soon'

Really a very disappointing experience. After 30 minute wait the chicken fried steak was charred. Manager came and I ordered a basic breakfast the over medium eggs were undercooked but the sausage was burned so they flipped them over but couldn’t hide the crispness or taste. I live 30 minutes away so I’m positive I won’t be returning. Total time 50 minutes and no food. I will say the manager handled herself very nicely.

Tried for the first time today. The service was amazing! everyone was so friendly and chatted with our table. The staff seemed to enjoy their jobs and the food and coffee were great! Excellent pancakes, omelet, potatoes and breakfast sandwich. We will definitely be back. The chef introduced himself as well. Very nice all around!
