Rookie's

Visited Lynchburg, VA and we heard great things about this local spot! We are accustom to cookie sandwiches as we have hade them from Mountains of North Carolina to New Hampshire! This spot is unique in all ways the large open window to order, the additional seating on the side and the assortment of cookie flavors and homemade ice cream! The offer great sweet treats and a really good price point. The ice cream was amazing. Really enjoyed the experience, and the amazing customer service. Really delicious Ice-cream and nice servers too. Many options. But… online saying it is open on 1pm, you drive there only to find out they will open at 3pm. My kids were not happy at all. ;-;

I love that they have vegan and gluten-free options (also oat milk)! But for the full sugar and gluten folk you can choose your own cookie and flavors. I had red velvet with cheese cake ice cream and a very pretty birthday cake themed selection. What a gem!

Great ice cream, cookies and service. My family walks to rookies about once a week and they are always open when they say they will be. Try the cookie skillet or ice cream sandwich, you wont be disappointed.

The service was fast. The cookies were the right combo of moist and crunchy and held up with the ice cream well. There are picnic tables to eat at with some string lights for night time ice cream. Street parking is limited, but there is a large lot next door.
