Ron's Pizza

It was our 1st visit, and their pizza delivered! They make their own crust in-house vs. using dough from Cassanos Dough Factory like most other local places. The crust is light with a touch of char with a nice crisp.

Entire outer crust of the pizza was burnt and waitress lied and said that was normal when we complained because she didn’t want to make it right. It was a horrible experience and sad thing is it was our first time there tonight Saturday October 4th. The pic only shows one section of the entire pizza.

I can’t really speak to the atmosphere of the restaurant because i didn’t eat there. I walked in, grabbed my pizza and left, but i will say the pizza is very good and i would definitely order it again. It’s not cheap though. I also just saw the previous review from someone complaining the pizza crust was burnt, which it wasn’t (they included pictures). Mine was the exact same around the edges and it was fantastic. If it weren’t cooked long enough to get some dark edges, the pizza would’ve been undercooked. Ignore that review if you like crispy pizza. If you want soggy pizza then go somewhere else i guess.

Looking for a good tavern pizza my family and I were in the area and we looked on line for a pizza place when e we came across Rons Pizza and tavern , so we said let’s give it a try . The service was great fast and friendly the waitress had a smile and was very pleasant, we ordered pizza , a family size with extra sausage and it was great. It’s as close to the tavern pizza from Chicago that I grew up on. The under carriage was a little overdone but still doable the sausage was a little bland I like a little more flavor with the sausage on pizza and just a little more cheese. The sauce was good not overpowering in anyway was good tasting. Will go back. But still looking for the best tavern pizza in the area. To the people that made the pizza an outstanding job.

They are probably my favorite pizza in the Dayton area. Incredibly generous with the toppings and great overall taste. Super friendly staff, too. If you haven’t tried the Santa Fe (taco) pizza you definitely should. My 13” felt like it weighed 10lbs when I was leaving!
