Rokerij

The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. The interior provides a nice, dark, moody, intimate, setting with dim, warm lighting. The perfect place to take a date. There is also an enclosed “patio” area that lets in tons of natural light. You get the feeling that you’re outside, without having to deal with the harsh heat or frigid cold. But, the best part of it all is of course the good. This might be the only restaurant where I’ve wanted to try everything on the menu. So far, I’ve had the peppercorn steak, seafood linguine, and the Rokerij burger (I got too excited when the burger came and forgot to take pics before I started eating) and none of them have disappointed. Rokerij royally exceeded expectations!! I have no words, yet ALL of them at the same time. Incredible service (thank you, Omar!), food, cocktails, ambiance, the whole nine! I’ll be talking about that place forever. 🙌 If you find yourself there, ask for Omar! My pictures don’t do it justice, you just have to experience it!

The restaurant ambiance is very dark. Food comes in a very generous portion. Friendly staffs. We got pork chop and prime NY steak, both of them were very tough. They also didn’t ask for how you want your steak cook, the NY steak came out well done, which is not our preference. They also charge extra $10 if you want to split the portion.

Last time wasting a Birthday Dinner here (2nd time giving it a chance) I don't know why this restaurant is top of mind, and every time I go to Richardsons/Rokerij , by the end of my meal there is this feeling of expectation not met. ( i hate to leave this review but I feel I need to) Very cool place and smells but food, nothing out of the ordinary and even can say not worth the prices. We had for appetizers the New Mexico Sausages(3) and the Chipotle Ribs(3 tiny ribs for 20), plates are full of rice and beans and a huge tortilla to fill you up i believe because the portions are TINY, and again food is not bad but not exceptional or exceeds expectations. The food is decent but I wouldn’t sit at the bar…watching the people prepare your food was a mistake. Nobody had gloves, nobody were washing there hands handling raw meat with their bare hands and grab tongs and handle other raw meats were kind of traumatic… if you don’t care about sanitation this place is for you. Ppl will wipe their mouths, smoke, touch their phone all while also handling your food. Even the main chef did not care for sanitation standards. I’ve been here a few times and sat at the bar and things were never as bad as seen them last night. You can def tell changes were made as far as staff and they’re scraping the barrel for workers.
