Rocklands Barbeque and Grilling Company catered for a wedding I photographed recently, and OH my goodness. Both their service and their cooking is top-notch. Every attendant was helpful, kind, and courteous. Every bite was fantastic. Highly recommend!!

Rocklands BBQ... An attempt to bring the fine people of Georgetown the tastes of smoked meat and BBQ flavors. Unfortunately, Rocklands BBQ missed the mark and those in the area that are looking for a delicious BBQ or smoked meat meal, are missing out on what that really is. The outside of this restaurant is very welcoming. Outdoor seating is available when the weather is nice. The atmosphere is great..we came during the holidays, and Rocklands is decorated wonderfully, creating a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The design of the restaurant is great as well. A great display of a rustic building while remaining functional. The person who rang us up was extremely friendly and explained options well. Do not order from this place. Food flavorless and not real smoked. I ordered through GrubHub. Maybe the experience dining in would have tasted better. Shame they send out garbage! This looks like brisket they ordered through a 3rd party vendor that comes frozen in a plastic bag. Not from a whole brisket they smoked from scratch. They must not follow a recipe because the food is terrible. This was supposed to be smoked brisket. Why they put that nasty sauce on it is beyond me.

Rockland’s BBQ is hands down my go-to barbecue spot! When I lived in Arlington, it was my favorite. It probably also helped that I lived right across the street. Now that I’m in DC, I’ve tried plenty of other BBQ places—but I always come back to Rockland’s. I’m so glad there’s a DC location I can order from. Their three-meat platter with two sides is my go-to meal. Everything is flavorful, well-cooked, and the variety is great. The in-house barbecue sauce is phenomenal—rich, smoky, and just the right amount of tang. Yes, prices have gone up a bit over the years, but it’s still a solid value for the quality and portions. Their staff is also super friendly. While I normally get my orders to go, they do have plenty of seating inside and out for those that wish to dine in. Highly recommend!

To start, I thought the cornbread was awesome - moist, fluffy, and great flavor. Also, the Spicy Mustard BBQ sauce was unique too. However, everything else was disappointing. I ordered a brisket plate and what I received surprised me. The meat was cut very thin and served on a bun. As for the taste and texture: 1. it was overpowered by an overwhelming amount of BBQ sauce, and yet the meat itself lacked flavor; and, 2. the meat had the consistency of boiled bacon. The collard greens were fine but needed some salt. The Mac and cheese was extremely disappointing and just tasted like Velveeta.
