Stopped in on a Sunday evening about an hour before closing. We were the only inside table occupied. There were a few people sitting in the outdoor covered area. Service was pretty good. Food was excellent. I had a tasty margarita accompanied by the Fajitas de Baja seasoned and cooked to perfection.
Plenty of seating inside and out. Fully stocked bar. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our food was delicious. Our plate had lobster, crab, rice, beans, corn on the cobb, salad, and a corn flake vanilla ice cream dessert. Our friends had a variety of tacos. Many thanks to Imelda our waitress, she did an awesome job.
Food was so-so.. we ordered a Baija de Los Angeles Seafood Combo that has a little bit of everything (1 small Fried Lobster,2 Fried Crab Legs, 1 slice Beef Steak, 1 slice Chiken Fajita, 2 Corn on the Cob, Salad, Rice n Beans, Tortilla and Mexican Fried Ice Cream). We didn't like the Fried Ice Cream covered with soggy cornflakes, the rice and beans was ok, but I had better. The restaurant looks out dated and need some fresh paint. Especially the dining table. But our server, Ms. Imelda made the dinner so much fun with her excellent service, make sure we understand what we ordered explained.
It's a nice relaxed atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The place is kept clean, the menu has lots of options, and the staff were all very friendly. The food was good, but not so good I'll be telling others, or remembering, or craving, or thinkin it was really worth the cost. I felt bad for members of our party that ordered crab legs, cause the restaurant didn't have that tool one uses to crack and slice the shell, so the struggle was real. Maybe like a drinks and apps happy hour kind of hang out if I were to consider returning in the future.
We needed a place on our way to the beach that had a good variety of food. I really wanted fish tacos, the grilled ahi was great! Two Large pieces of fish made the $20 price a little more understandable. The ambience was nice outside, you can watch people walk by and see the water. The salsa bar was great, so many different flavors. It was busy but there is a lot is seating so we got right in! My only feedback is it was run down, needs a face lift, paint, update to bathroom. I would go back.
