Customer Reviews
The Rock Hill public library branch is very well kept. I found the employees helpful. Although it is a small library, it makes up by having wonderful events and amenities. It has a seed library, pickleball rentals, telescopes, fishing poles and so much more. One time they had a “spice of the month”, where they gave out small samples of different spices each month. They also have plenty of events for adults and children. One of their best program is “Paws for Reading”, where a therapy dog comes to the library to read with little kids! We enjoyed reading books with Miri, the therapy dog and it made our day. Overall, one of my favorite library.
My favorite librarians! they are so nice, offer great recommendations and helpful. the library itself is quite small but the inter library loan system makes up for it
We will never go back here. It's a shame, we had taken my son there because he loves to read and he was so excited to be able to get new books. Well, we went on vacation and forgot to return some books before we left... Came back and returned them, paid a fine, and a few days later realized one book had been left out of the bunch. My husband took it to be returned. They told us it was too late, and they'd taken us to collections! Over a $10 book. Without so much as a phone call or letter to alert us to the problem. So, unless you're eager to have your credit besmirched, find another library. This one isn't serving the public.
Our librarians are the BEST! They know us, what our book tastes, and will even order books if we are reading a particular series. After hearing about Ada Lois Sipuel Fisher, I wanted to read her autobiography. The book is not available ANY WHERE in the Saint Louis area. The librarians did not give up, but checked Amazon and other book retailers as well. Again, the book could not be found. The librarians searched until they FOUND the book--at the University of Arkansas, and ordered it for me. Because it came from a university library, I got to keep the book for two months. The best!
First time visiting. Very small, clean, quiet library. Super nice librarian. I Googled libraries great for children. I wanted something equivalent to Daniel Boone Branch. This wasn't even close to that description.
