Riverside Pizza & Pub - South Elgin

Was recommended to give this place a try, the hype was certainly justified. The total vibe of the place was great and I left with some great pizza. Not only did it taste good, but it had me full with one slice which doesn't happen too often.

Edit: 10/21/25 OMG have the pot roast sandwich! HAVE IT! So tender, not overly salty which is good! Served with onions and or mushrooms on their garlic bread, and mozzarella, braised in a nice gravy/sauce. Exemplary conversation and service from Sara. Always nice to have input on their delicious menu items. I haven't had a bad meal or appetizer yet. So good! I recommend the potroast sliders too! Edit: 2/4/25 FANTASTIC Chicago style pizza. Returned later after pizza carry out. Ordered the Bruscetta to go. WHERE'S THE CHEESE? I'm not a fan. Doesn't Bruschetta normally have fresh mozzarella? C'mon, guys, ya dropped the ball on this one. Well this is funny, didn't realize I came here years ago and never got seated! lol I finally did. Anyways service was great, food was really good and so were the martinis. The pretzel should come with a warning. It's a JUMBO pretzel. It was really really good. Loved the pizza, very tasty. Will definitely come back! It gets jam packed in there. The decor is awesome and the bathrooms are really pretty.

Okay, so we went to Riverside for lunch on Saturday around noon. Right off the bat, we could tell things were gonna be a bit chaotic. There was only one waiter working, and he seemed super overwhelmed. We had to wait like 7 minutes for him to even acknowledge us because he was busy taking orders from other tables. Once we finally got seated, I knew this wasn't going to be a smooth experience. They completely skipped asking how I wanted my burger cooked, which is a major red flag. We started with the nachos, and honestly, they were a bit of a mess. Some of the chips were burnt, and the toppings weren't evenly distributed. The burger itself was decent, I guess. Great pizza 🍕🤤 We come here on half price pizza days on Tuesdays whenever we can..There's always a lot of people on this day so it can take awhile to get the pizza but it's worth the wait. 1 pizza is Alfredo sauce, chicken and bacon, not sure if the name but it's on the menu. The other is my hubby's personal favorite a pepperoni, sausage, and green olives pizza, savory and salty in one.
